A little adventure on Lysefjord
Sandnes was a first for me. While others headed to Stavanger by bus or excursion, I chose Ambassador’s RIB trip on Lysefjord. It was calmer than the independent Stavanger RIB I had tried before: a scenic speedboat ride, with waterfalls, salmon farms and Pulpit Rock seen from below.
Sea days in good company
Between get-togethers, little groups found quizzes, crafts, choir, exercise classes and games. There were theatre shows, dancing in the Observatory and rather tempting afternoon-tea scones, too.
From solo travellers to friends
Our final sea day brought the Passion for Cruises farewell cocktail party and prize draw. Seeing friendships that hadn’t existed nine days earlier was a highlight for me as a host.
Ambience felt cosy, comfortable and homely. She showed her age in places, but I enjoyed the food, entertainment, service and value. A lovely finish to our Norwegian-fjords adventure.
