AD/INVITE

Ambassador is a premium-value, no-fly cruise line that offers a traditional cruise experience with exceptional service, cuisine, and entertainment. Their smaller to mid-sized classic ships provide a relaxed atmosphere with a high space-to-guest ratio. Operating for the British market from eight regional ports, Ambassador’s ships, Ambience and Ambition, offer a wide range of voyages. The cruise line is adult-focused, primarily catering to the 50-plus market, and includes multi-generational cruises during the summer holidays.

Join me on a special 3-night Christmas Getaway cruise aboard the Ambassador Ambition, where every day is a new adventure.

Day 1 – Boarding the Festive Ship: The Ambassador Ambition was all decked out for Christmas, creating the perfect atmosphere to feel the holiday spirit. My Superior Junior Suite was fantastic, complete with bathrobes, slippers, and a bathtub!

After sipping on some drinks and enjoying a scenic sailaway as we departed Tilbury, I spent time catching up with friends until dinner. The ship has many lovely places to relax and hang out in. I had an amazing dinner at Saffron, a specialty Indian restaurant with a reasonable supplement of £16.95. I love curries, so it was a real treat for me! The evening entertainment, “A Night in Nashville,” was fantastic. Combining my love for curry and country music, the evening was fantastic!

After the show, I headed to The Cavern for a nightcap. It was so lovely to bump into two ladies I met on previous cruises who joined me for a drink. They met in September on one of my hosted cruises and have booked more cruises together! It reminded me how much I love cruising and being a social host for Passion for Cruises. PASSION FOR CRUISES

Ambassador has a traditional cruise vibe, and I’m sure everyone will enjoy sailing with them.

Day 2 – Exploring Antwerp: After a late night of fun, I started my day with breakfast in the Main Dining Room. It had everything you’d expect at breakfast, including an omelette station – yum!

Antwerp has beautiful buildings and a lovely Christmas Market. It was raining and I still enjoyed this city. I did a walking tour then took a train to a brewery. I highly recommend visiting the De Koninck City Brewery – the tour is cool, and you get to sip on some beer while you walk around!

Staying overnight in a port is awesome, especially when the ship docks in the middle of everything, allowing you to get on and off the ship with no hurry to return before an afternoon departure. The day was packed full of fun, and after I returned to the ship, I had an amazing time at the silent disco in The Cavern. I was sad to have missed the theatre show this evening, as I heard it was excellent, but it’s another excuse to return in the future.

Day 3 – I kicked off the day with an early morning massage and then had breakfast delivered to my room – the poached eggs were perfect! Trying new things on this cruise, like an early massage and late breakfast, was surprisingly enjoyable.

The spa prices on Ambassador are very reasonable, and they have free saunas and steam rooms for everyone on board to use. If you like those facilities, don’t forget your swimsuit! There is also a gym with spectacular views.

After a relaxing morning, I went back into Antwerp to buy chocolates and check out the Christmas Markets again. Antwerp has one of the best ones I have experienced.

Evenings on the ship were a blast, with everyone dressing up in sparkly outfits or Christmas jumpers. On this 3-night cruise, Ambassador had casual, formal, and smart themed nights, and people looked fabulous. Dinner at the Chef’s Table was amazing, a 10-course meal with wine pairings. There is an extra charge for this experience of £89, but it’s totally worth it for a special treat. The menus in the main dining room offer 4-courses, which are very good too.

Ambassador Ambition is comfy and cosy, with lots of places to chill. This ship can accommodate 1200 passengers, and I’m loving this size ship. The entertainment was a highlight for me, reminding me of the excellent entertainment I experienced on Ambience, Ambition’s sister ship last year.

Despite being over 20 years old, the ship has been renovated and still retains its charming qualities. Ambassador Cruise Line proves that cruising can be accessible and affordable without sacrificing a great experience.

I am now left with the best memories of a festive getaway. Ambassador Ambition, with its small size and friendly vibes, is truly a ship worth sailing on. I look forward to many more sailings with this cruise line in the future.
